LEARN LOMI LOMI MASSAGE: Healing Spiritually Through Massage
/Lomi Lomi Practitioners aren’t the ones doing the Healing. That’s up to the Client and the Ancestors. What we do is make sure we’re a clear connection for the healing Mana/Spirit Energy to come through. And we help clear the Clients before, during and after too. There’s a specific way to do all of this and it starts with the Foundation Teachings…
Lomi Lomi is Spiritual Healing through a type of touch that we experience and call “massage” - but really, it’s so much more than that. Massage is a word we use in English to describe it because it’s familar to most people and easier for us to understand. But LOMI LOMI, the Hawaiian Word, carries within it so much more than “massage” can ever capture. Which is why it’s a stand-out healing modality.
Lomi Lomi is a medical practice and at the same time a Spiritual Practice. Healers or Practitioners are “instruments” which are part of the Healing Process. Love, compassion, honesty, trust, connection are all part of the “skill set” that Practitioners develop. We learn to develop our full Spiritual Intelligence so that Clients can too.
All of us have the skill of Spiritual Intelligence and how to live, think, perceive, love, interact, intuit from this level - it’s just that it’s become latent within us because it hasn’t been valued in the community. Shifts happen all the time, and the rise of Lomi Lomi as a Healing Modality in non-Hawaiian communities is part of the shift back to living from Spiritual Intelligence - afterall, it’s what we have done for 50+ Generations in our Lineage.
The Physcial Aspect of Lomi Lomi is only one small part of our training when you think of it like this. For some, not all, Lomi Lomi is a complete lifestyle in much the same way Yogis live the Yogic Lifestyle. The greater part of old school Traditional Training - the type we offer in our School of the Ancestors SOHAD - the School of Spirituality, Healing & Development - is focusing on re-learning our Spiritual Intelligence and how to live from it second by second.
Of course, that doesn’t happen in one training course - it takes time, patience and persistence. But what you notice over time is how often you are living this way - which is why our SOHAD Courses are open to anyone who wants to make a change in the way they live and connect with the world around them. Where all training together in life knowledge because we’re all living here.
In our Lineage, which has continued unbroken for 50+ Generations, we are all taught to live this way. The Ancestors did it, Anglo-Ancestors like the Druids did it, so there’s nothing stopping us from living from our Spiritual Intelligence. We just have to learn how…
BEGINNING & EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS - LEARN LOMI LOMI MASSAGE FOUNDATIONS: For anyone wanting to learn Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage, Kahuna Massage and any of the Hawaiian Bodywork and Healing Modalities like Ho’oponopono, Ho’omana (Energetic Healing) and so on - we provide the Traditional Teachings that are the foundation for all Healing Modalities. In Hawaii, on our island of Molokai, our Halau/School is Mana O Molokai - and it is recognised as one of the great, continuous Teaching Lineages. Anakala Pilipo, the oldest living Elder who still teaches from his Hale/home, is recognised as a Living Treasure of Hawaii.
That means our Lineage Teachings are unbroken and clear of any Christian, non-Hawaiian or new age influences - there’s still no electricity in our home valley of Halawa, which goes to show you how pure these Teachings are.
You can learn these Teachings in our regular Workshops before you start your Lomi Lomi Bodywork Training or whilst you are doing it. And it doesn’t matter which School you’re going to in Australia because the Teachings are the Teachings for all styles of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage. Some potential Practitioners come along before they start the Massage Training because they don’t really know anything about Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage and where it fits into Hawaiian Culture and Hawaiian Spirituality and it’s a good, low cost way to learn about it before committing to a full course, the associated costs and the time commitment.
However you decide to do it, my strong recommendation is you make sure you do the Traditional Teachings because they will add so much more to your Practice and what you can offer Clients. That has been my own experience and I’ve been practicing successfully for a very long time - I’ve seen lots of great Practitioners come and go because they didn’t have the Traditional Teachings underpinning what they do.
My clients tell me they can tell the difference between how I work and the depth of what I offer. So do the Indigenous Hawaiians. And that difference is the Traditional Teachings - but you can get them here with us. And if you’re not sure which Lomi Lomi School or Teacher to go to, I’ll tell you who I recommend in Australia and why.
COVID-19 has disrupted our 2020 Schedule and prevented us from travelling interstate to teach, but we still have our regular workshops (and hula workshops) in Sydney. For a beginning Practitioner, or for anyone wanting to learn Lomi Lomi to do at home with family and friends, having these deep Teachings available here in Sydney and Australia is a real bonus - you don’t have to travel overseas to get them. And, my Teacher, Kumu Lawrence, comes into every class via Zoom from Hawaii.
If you’re thinking about learning Lomi Lomi Massage as a career change, for family and friends, a Massage Therapist wanting to expand your skill-set and massage service or a Healer/Complementary Therapies Practitioner and you want to learn Lomi Lomi Massage or maybe even Ho’oponopono, join our next Workshop in the Series.
We teach you the Traditional Teachings of our 50+ Generations and then we show you how to apply them to your own life - so we’re not talking “at you” or just “presenting information”. You need to know how to do this to a) live the Teachings so you are clear and authentic enough to do the Lomi Lomi Massage and b) your clients will present with life issues, so you need to be able to share the Teaching with them and show them how to put it into place in their own lives. That’s part of being a Lomi Lomi Massage Practitioner and Client Care. There’s nothing superficial about our Traditional Healing Modalities - you’re up to the eyeballs when you work with people at depth…
Workshops are modular and layered, so you can start at any time without missing out on anything. You get a full set of Notes, there’s a Social Learning Group to join and Wise Guides to work 1:1 with if you need some help putting it all together. And then there will be the Teacher you decide to work with to learn the Physical part of the modality.
Hmmm, if you’re wondering why I don’t teach Lomi Lomi Massage/Bodywork - it’s because the very Traditional type of Lomi Lomi of our Lineage called Hamo Hamo isn’t taught or done publically. Our kuleana, our responsibility that we have been given, is to teach the Spiritual Foundations and teach people how to bring these ancient, timeless teachings into 21st Century Living. The Traditional Teachings…they’re a gift from the Ancestors for all of us to learn and share…Start your Lomi Lomi Massage Training HERE. Me ke aloha x
