The Path to Paʻa Workshop: Introduction to Hawaiian Spirituality
To be Paʻa is to have a strong, unshakeable foundation so that when life throws you curve balls you’re able to find your way through them without getting stuck or thrown off course.
The Path to Pa’a is an introduction to the Foundation Teachings of our Lineage. These Teachings of our 50+ Generations offer an insight and experience of the ways of our Ancestors - teachings, values, spiritual understanding and traditions that, in the old times, led Hawaiians to be amongst the healthiest, productive and innovative people in the world. Returning to these Teachings and understanding of life is now more important than ever.
For those seeking to integrate a more meaningful understanding of Spirituality, and therefore life, into their own lives, this course is the beginning step. It’s also the beginning place for Practitioners - Home Healers as well as Professional Therapists, to become grounded in Hawaiian Culture and belief systems. It is a pathway to understanding the Ancestral knowledge of the Hawaiian modalities you practice.
Suitable for: Spiritual Seekers, Explorers, new Practitioners, a skillbuilder for experience Practitioners,
3 Reasons to walk the Path to Paʻa
Spiritual Seekers...
It is the living memory of all those that came before you - and you don't have to be Hawaiian. The stories and aspirations of your own life are woven into the teachings so you can practice them and heal your own life.
Grounding Practice...
You learn about the totality of form and essence. You ground traditional practices in Spirituality by integrating them into daily life and into the practice of Hawaiian healing modalities you practice.
Living Spirituality...
The Teachings express the sacredness of life and living the sacred moment to moment. As Seekers & Healers they guide us to confidently live what is right and by doing so, show others the way.
The Path to Paʻa
The Teachings begun here guide you on your learning journey. They also guide you in correctly understanding, applying and using the teachings in a respectful and honourable way. That’s why it’s important you are guided through your studies by a Teacher who is part of a Teaching Lineage. You will learn best when someone with direct experience of and wisdom in the ways of Hawaiian Culture is showing you the way, providing support and making corrections when needed.
There are various ways to access Mana - the spirit energy of our Ancestors. Mana increases when we use it to serve, benefit, heal and care for others and decreases when we don’t. Some people will never access their mana. It is always there, but you have to be ready to activate it - which is one of the things this workshop is about.
It is our kuleana/our responsibility as your Teachers to ensure that you know how to practice this priceless, cherished wisdom in a way that embodies the values and principles of Hawaiian culture.
