This one day workshop can be standalone or choose the Path to Paʻa and Living Paʻa Workshops Series for a spiritual teachings weekend.

Hula is our traditional form of dance that preserves history, tradition, knowledge and wisdom. It is a way of communicating with the elements of our Universe. Hula involves mental discipline, strong intuition, story-telling and the use of prayer. It is a way of making meaningful connection with all things in this Universe, of embodying and expressing Aloha (unconditional love), clearing so healing energy can flow to you and from you and much more. When we dance Hula and chant an Oli we are able to cross time & space and enter into the world of our Ancestors.

Oli is chanting or connecting Spiritually through sound. We use Oli in a variety of ways. Oli & Hula are wonderful ways of learning how to connect with our Ancestors through prayerful movement and sacred sound. Both elevate your connection at a Universal level…

Suitable for: anyone who loves Spirituality & Healing, movement and sound, Lomi Lomi & Hoʻoponopono Practitioners

3 Reasons To Learn Oli & Hula

It is Living Memory...

You're remembering all those that came before you - and you don't have to be Hawaiian to do that. The aspirations of your own life are woven into it. When you Oli you are calling out to all things in this Universe.

Living Connection...

It's connection to the plants, animals, the elements, and all things in this Universe. It is timeless and limitless, so you are moving into a space not limited by time or form. You are moving from your essence/ʻuhane/soul.

Living Spirituality...

Through the prayers, protocols, chants & dance, you connect to your spirituality and mana - Spirit Power of the Ancestors - available for everyday life. You are an expression of the sacredness of life.

Beginners - 1 Day

We teach Oli + Hula in a blended format – a 1 Day Weekend Workshop plus Self-paced Home Practice. You will learn the Basic Hula Steps, Hand Movements, Chants and Protocols and one complete Hula to practice at home. Hula contains many elements of Hawaiian Spiritual Practice and you’ll enjoy learning how these weave together through the dance.

Oli uses sound to form an Aka - a connection of relationship from your essential essence to the essence of the Ancestors. When you learn to Oli you are “speaking” in the language of the Universe. You learn to understand and be understood through this exchange. As you chant you can feel the Aka of your whole kino/body reaching into the realm of the Ancestors.

When you dance and chant as we teach you, you can see, hear and feel the Ancestors responding to you every time you practice.
